The problem of the fuel guage reading empty when full or any variation can be fixed by replacing the fuel pump. Your fuel pump is on its way out. Happeded to me. I rode with the needle broken for a few months, hit a bump and the car died. Was left stranded because fuel pump went out and had to get towed home. They do not sell the sensos separate. Got my pump from autozone.
