To reset the fuel pump switch on a 1997 Ford E150 van, locate the inertia switch, which is typically found in the passenger-side footwell or behind the kick panel. Press the red reset button on the switch until you hear a click. After resetting, turn the ignition key to the "on" position for a few seconds to allow the fuel system to pressurize before starting the engine. If the switch trips again, it may indicate an underlying issue that needs to be addressed.
