Where is the fuel pressure regulator located on a 1998 Chevy van
Not sure what pressure control solenoid is, could it be the fuel pressure regulator?

It's part of the fuel injection assembly inside the upper manifold.
The oil pressure switch on a 1998 Chevy Blazer is on the side of the engine block. It is located above the oil filter.

The fuel pressure regulator would be located under the upper intake manifold. It is attached to the bank of injector poppets (aka the Spider). The upper intake manifold has to be removed to gain access to it.
The 98 Blazer with a 4.3L V6 fuel pressure regulator would be located under the upper intake manifold. It would be attached to the bank of fuel injector poppets aka "the spider". The upper intake manifold would have to be removed to gain access.

It is part of the fuel pump module. It is located inside the fuel tank.

the 1998 ford escort does not have a fuel pressure regulator. It does however, have a fuel pressure sensor located on the fuel injector rail. It has a connector attached to it and can be removed by taking out the attaching screws and twisting and tugging on it.
