fuel pump relay under hood in the fuse box
The fuel pump on a 2000 Lincoln Continental 4.6 is located inside the fuel tank. It sends fuel from the tank to the fuel injectors.
Not sure what a fuel shut off valve is on a 2000 Lesabre. There is a fuel pump relay, a fuel pressure regulator, a fuel pump, fuel injectors, a fuel filter, but no fuel shut off valve.
yes But hopefully you have an inline fuel filter that will protect the injectors from debris from a failing fuel pump.
I have a 2000 Kia Sportage and my fuel pump is under the back seat on the passenger side. You will see a access flap in the carpet of the floor board. 2002 could be different. Its the same! Make sure you checki the relay in the fuse panel under hood! It will act the same as a bad fuel pump.
It's possible, fuel injectors are computer controlled, and the fuel pump is electric.
If your KIA Sportage won't start but has a spark and fuel, it could be a the fuel pump relay or possibly a fuse.
in the gas tank
locate the fuse panel under the hood of your sportage. There is two bigger relays in that panel 1. the egi control relay. 2. the fuel pump relay.
A malfunctioning fuel injector pump will cause the injectors to not fire properly. The fuel injector pump will need to be replaced.
