passenger side of engine block towards the front.

Answerit is located up under the front passenger's side door and is in the shape of a cylinder. release the tension in the tension brackets on both sides of the fuel pump and drain the fuel from the hose running to the engine and cap the hose running to the gass tank. replace the part and crank it a few times, pressure will rebuild and you'll be good to go.

the above awnser is corect for carburated engines only. On TBI engines the fuel pump is inside the gas tank.

The mechanical fuel pump is actually on the driver's side directly below the steering pump. You can get to it either from the top on under the car. Personally I prefer under the car. Don't forget to pinch the fuel line at the tank or you will have gas dripping all over the place as the pump is lower than the fuel tank.
