Fuel PumpIn the top of the fuel tank, like most Celicas. Before doing anything, remove the negative battery lead-gas and electrics DON'T play nicely together!! Now, you'll have to drop the tank via two bands that hold it up, then unbolt the pump assembly to remove it, but it's not quite as bad as it sounds. The filter is on the take-up end of the pump. It's easier to do if the tank is empty--either run it close to empty, or drain it via the drain plug if it has one. Or you can take out the rear seat cushion and the service hole cover, and unbolt the assembly that way. I believe 91's are built this way. 8 bolts, an outlet pipe, and a few wires should be all that need to be removed to pull out the assembly. Good luck and no smoking!
