You didn't say what year it was but I have a 1989 with fuel injection. I believe its the same for models 86-90 at least. The location for these is in the fuel tank. ** For 93-97 2.5L, it is also an internal pump. To access it, you need to remove (or at least lower) the fuel tank. To do so, unclamp and detach the two lines at the front of the tank. At the rear you need to unclamp and detach two thin lines, a 3/4" breather line, and the fuel filler hose. Support the fuel tank with a trolley jack nursing a piece of timber (to distribute the load) and then unbolt the tank straps. Oh yeah, you'll need to drain the tank first - it's the bolt/plug in the centre rear of the tank that seems to serve no purpose. You'll also need to pull the rear seats to disconnect the fuel gauge float. Final note, DISCONNECT THE BATTERY prior to working on the fuel system and make sure you're in a well ventilated area.
On a 1988 Mazda 626, the fuel pump relay is located in the fuel tank. Always disconnect the battery before beginning work on a fuel system.
On a 1997 Mazda 626 4-cyl, the (electric) fuel pump is located inside the gas tank.
in the gas tank
You have to remove the fuel tank the fuel pump is located on top of the fuel tank.
The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. The tank will have to be removed in order to remove the pump.
The fuel pump relay on a 2002 Mazda 626 is located in the engine compartment on the driver's side. It is in a bank of relays just behind the battery location.
It's inside the gas tank...
Mounted on top and inside the fuel tank.
In the fuse box.
Is it a V6, if it is then the fuel pump is located inside the gas tank. You have to drop the gas tank down and remove it from the tank itself.
It should be located in the trunk on the drivers/passengers side.
In a 2000 Mazda 626, the fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. To access it, you'll typically need to remove the rear seat cushion and the fuel pump access panel, or alternatively, lower the fuel tank itself. It's important to relieve the fuel system pressure before attempting any work on the fuel pump for safety reasons.
