The horn relay on a 2004 Saturn Ion is located in the underhood fuse box. To access it, open the hood and look for the fuse box, which is typically near the battery. The relay is usually labeled on the fuse box cover, making it easier to identify. If you need to replace it, gently pull it straight out of the socket.
To fix a 2004 Saturn Ion horn that goes off randomly, first check the horn switch on the steering wheel for any stuck contacts or debris. Inspect the wiring and connections for damage or corrosion, as these can cause short circuits. If the issue persists, consider replacing the horn relay in the fuse box, as a faulty relay can also trigger the horn unexpectedly. If you're unsure, consulting a professional mechanic may be the best option.

Saturn Ion Has 2 seats in the front and 2 seats in the rear.
I have a 2004 Saturn ION. Horn stopped working. I learned on the internet it is located under the driver's side headlight. I removed the headlight and the defective horn. I replaced it with an old horn from a Chevrolet. It was designed to ground to chassis through it's mount. I checked with my meter to find which wire was ground and plugged the lead from the horn into the other terminal. You can cut and splice but I left the existing connector in tact in case anyone ever wants to replace the horn with an OEM product. Total cost of project $0 since all of the components were foundlings.
