Attached to the ignition coil you will find an "igniter". Per the local Toyota Dealer parts dept. there is no ignition module. The igniter takes it's place. There is no ignition module in a '84 laser. They have a coil and distributor unless it has been modified. If you don't get a spark across the points in the distributor when you try to start the engine you probably need a new coil.
