i believe it is located on the top [center to right] rear of motor. a Chevy mechanic told me the intake manifold and fuel inj. had to be removed to get to it. i will soon find out for myself.
It may depend on what engine you have. I have a 2001 Corvette with the LS1 engine, the Oil Pressure Sending Unit is located on the top of the block, behind the Intake Manifold, and requires removing the intake or cutting a hole in the cowl to access it. I could not bring myself to start cutting holes in the body. When I read some one say that this is how they did it......instantly the word HACK came to mind. Take pictures or notes as you do it, there are a lot of steps, but none of it is rocket science. If you have everything there, gaskets, sending unit, etc., it is not a bad job. On the vettes, I have read it is a common problem more then likely due to heat, so I bought some fittings, made up an adapter, and relocated it so it can be changed without removing the manifold.
Where is located the crankshaft sensor in Chevy avalanche 2002 engine 5.3?

It's easy its just above the starter remove the starter with 1/2" socket your crank sensor is right there one 10mm socket
You can run a diagnostic test for the knock sensor, on your 2005 Chevy avalanche, by hooking the engine up to a diagnostic tester.
The oxygen sensors on a Chevy Avalanche are typically located in the exhaust system. There are usually two: one is positioned before the catalytic converter (upstream sensor) and the other is located after it (downstream sensor). The exact location may vary slightly depending on the engine model and year, so consulting the vehicle’s service manual can provide specific details.
