The TPS (throttle position sensor) would be found on the throttle body on the opposite side of the throttle cable.

The throttle position sensor is located on the top of the engine. Now depending on which engine is in your S10, the location will be relatively in the same spot. Follow your air intake plastic tubing to the top of engine. The sensor is located on the side of the throttle body. Usually has 2 screws that mount it to the side of the throttle body where the shaft goes through. If yours has slots on the sensor, it will have to be adjusted with a scan tool.

It has a 2.2L and i have replaced fuel pressure regulator plugs map sensor and to other sensors on the throttle body. Driving habits may be an issue.
