In my 2001 Altima, the main fuse box is in the engine compartment on the right side front of engine near the battery. Fuse diagram is printed on cover of fuse box. The 100 amp fuse marked "battery" is in the center. It is held in place by two small bolts accessed thru the side panels on the fuse box. You cannot see the bolts looking at the fuse in the box. It looks like you could just pull it up and out but that won't work. Use a metric socket to loosen bolts then a Phillips head screwdriver. Disconnect battery cables and remove battery to access right side and before doing any work on fuse box. Afterwards, service engine soon light may come on. I read that after 30-50 normal starts, it will reset but I have a basic code reader on order to erase the codes and hopefully will reset the warning light.
