The fill point for a Jeeps manual transmission is on the driver's side of the case. It is a pipe plug that takes a 5/8" (pretty big) Allen key to remove. I use an Allen key that I bought just for the job, if you can find a socket in this size, get it. It will make life a lot easier. I have to pull the wrench out every half turn and reset it. It takes a while. After removing the plug, fill the transmission case up to the bottom of the fill hole. I use a gallon container of gear oil with a pump in it. You can squeeze it into the case using one of those quart gear lube containers with the pointed spouts, but there isn't much clearance down there and its not as neat. I usually dry then seal the threads of the plug with some sealant, making sure not to get any in the case. Otherwise this plug (and the drain plug) tend to weep.
