They are located on the downpipes from the headers.
inside the gas tank.
Exhaust manifold or on catalytic conerter.
Which o2 sensor are you looking for? The rear located near gas tank?
o2 sensor slow to respond bank 2 sensor 1
The Lincoln Mark VIII typically has four oxygen sensors: two upstream (pre-catalytic converter) and two downstream (post-catalytic converter). These sensors help monitor the exhaust gases and ensure optimal engine performance and emissions control. However, it's always best to check the specific model year and engine configuration for any variations.
normally 4. 2 before and 2 after catalyst...
On a Lincoln Town Car : Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine Sensor 1 would be close to the engine BEFORE the exhaust enters the catalytic converter
Depends on what the problem is or what code was set.
passenger side is bank 1 the closest to the engine is sensor 1 of the 2 on each side
It is always located right after the manifold. It looks like a spark plug with a wire going to it.
the exhaust, where every o2 sensor is
Might just be the IAC valve, IDLE AIR CONTROL valve that's in the back of the engine, pass side, a real bear to get at. Very possible bad 02 sensor or sensors.
