on the 84 its in one of two places depending on your engine. if you have a 307 cidwith a 4bbl carb, the O2S is in the passenger side exhaust manifold. you can see it with the hood open. I'm not sure where it is on the 3.8L, however, it should be in a similar location, before the cat, in the exhaust amnifold. hope that helps
