To release a stuck parking brake on a Chrysler 300, first ensure the vehicle is in the "Park" position. If the brake is still engaged, try gently rocking the vehicle back and forth while simultaneously pulling the parking brake release lever. If this doesn't work, check for any obstructions or debris around the brake mechanism. If the problem persists, it may require inspection by a professional mechanic.
The parking brake pedal is partially set. Pull on its relaese.
It's probably a problem with the ABS. New Response: It may be as simple as your parking brake cable in need of adjustment. To check...pull out the release handle while pulling upward on the parking brake pedal. If the light goes out... voila. Adjust the cable..
Set the parking brake before you put the shift in park when parking.Take shift out of park before releasing the parking brake when driving.
Brake System Warning (check your brake fluid, the parking brake, etc...)
Remove the cover of the parking break handle. On the back (opposite the button you push to release) there is a little nut to tighten and loosen.
