On my '99 CVPI, it's on the overflow/fill tank that is attached to the radiator. The cap looks nothing like the old "radiator caps" from the 60s, 70's and 80's - it's plastic!
On a 1995 Ford Crown Victoria : The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the 16 PSI pressure cap / radiator cap
On a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria : The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the 16 PSI pressure cap / radiator cap
The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap on your 1997 Ford Crown Victoria The engine coolant reservoir is the white plastic tank located on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the firewall that divides the engine compartment from the passenger compartment
The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap ( radiator cap )
Low coolant? Plugged or restricted radiator? water pump not circulating coolant? Thermostat not opening fully? Defective radiator cap? Hoses collapsing under pressure?
On your 1988 FordLTD Crown Victoria , 5.0 Follow the TOP radiator hose from the radiator to the front of the engine The engine cooling thermostat is in the front of the intake manifold where the radiator hose connects

Should be a in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose
At the front of the engine compartment , connected to the engine with ( 2 ) rubber hoses
