To flush the radiator in a 1989 Toyota Cressida, first ensure the engine is cool and then remove the radiator cap. Drain the old coolant by opening the drain valve at the bottom of the radiator and allowing it to flow into a container. Next, fill the radiator with a mixture of water and a radiator flush product, running the engine for about 10-15 minutes with the heater on to circulate the solution. Finally, drain the flush solution, rinse with clean water, and refill with the appropriate coolant mixture.

What do you wish to do, drain the coolant or remove trapped air from the system? To drain coolant, there usually is a drain valve located at the base of one of the radiator tanks, there is one tank on each side of the radiator. If it is not there or broken, just remove the lower radiator hose, ENGINE COLD ONLY.
Remove the lower rad hose and drain, the block itself has no supplied drain. You can also use the drain petcock on the radiator lower drivers side but it is prone to leaking after use.
