It's supposed to be in the front of the engine compartment , on the top of
the radiator support
Removing the spare tire from a 1999 Ford F150 is simple. All you have to do is get under the truck and unbolt the spare tire.
The cannister on my 2002 F150 is located just inboard of the spare tire. If you lower the spare tire it will be easier to access. The EVAP solenoid is also located on top of the cannister. Have fun and don't work to hard. Richard Petty.
in the front on side of the harmonic balancer

use your jack rod from under the hood. There is a hole beside the rear lisence plate... it goes in there and inserts into the spare tire carrier. crank it down and unhook it!! Good Luck!!
without it the security lite will start blinking fast and the motor will only spin over but not crank
There should be a long metal rod under the hood that goes inside a hole in the back bumper that you crank to lower the tire.
forward of the firewall
There is a special tool which should be located with your tire changing tools, once you have this tool you insert it into the small hole next to the rear licence plate, you then turn the handle (Counter clockwise I think) and the spare tire will be lowered to the ground. Its held in place by a this steel cable good luck.
Its in the fuse box under the stearing wheel.
The 1999 F150 4.2 does not have a temperature sensor. It uses a cylinder head temperature sensor instead. It is mounted at the rear of the engine on the head.
it is hanging under the bed of truck between the rear tires. the jack and lug nut tool is located under the hood.
