I have a 92 PA, so it is probably the same. It is on the passenger side of the motor. You can follow the big battery cable down to it. I had mine replaced at the garage, because I couldn't see how to get all the bolts out or if special tools were required. The Ultra required a different starter and more expensive than the standard model. The cheaper unit had to be returned, probably because it didn't fit. So be careful if you buy one. I think the one I bought was about $200 new (not rebuilt) .
The solenoid switch on a 1996 Buick Park Avenue Ultra is typically located on the starter motor, which is situated near the bottom of the engine, close to the transmission. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle and remove any protective covers or components that obstruct the starter. The solenoid itself is mounted directly on the starter and is responsible for engaging the starter motor when the ignition is turned on.

To change the starter on a 1993 Buick Park Avenue Ultra with a 3.8-liter supercharged engine, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Next, lift the vehicle and remove the starter shield if equipped. Unbolt the starter from its mounting bracket, disconnect the wiring harness and power cables, then replace it with the new starter by reversing the process. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the new starter to ensure proper operation.
