Where is the starter relay located on the 1996 Oldsmobile 88?
The starter is located in fromt of the car on the bottom. Follow the red wire from the battery.
What is and where is the soft seal located?
it is in the front of the engine follow the + wire from battery
Front, lower drivers side of engine, between radiator and engine.
It's ontop the starter and has been for years and it's called the starter solenoid. You send 12 volts to it when you crank the car.
under dashboard, drivers side, next to e-brake
often they put it as a part of the computer so it can't be removed but I'm not sure about your particular car
Front, drivers side , below engine
disconnect the battery, then the wires from the starter. Then remove the bolts holding the starter to the engine.
I don't know but I usually follow the battery cable under the engine to where it connects to the starter - which is a rounded type apparatus attached there with several bolts. Try it - you might find it.
