follow top radiator hose to intake. at the end of the radiator hose is the neck. theres two bolts pull the the neck off. that is where your thermostat is

On a 1993 Ford F-150 : Follow the top radiator hose from the radiator . Where it connects to the engine is the engine cooling thermostat
Easy right in the front of the motor follow the rad hose that goes to the top of the engine that is where your thermostat is located
Generally in the distributor cap base
the thermostat on most mercury's is located just above the muffler. must remove exhaust pipe and muffler to reach thermostat. good luck.
