The Haynes manual I have says the thermostat housing is located between the lower radiator hose and the block on the left front side of the engine. The thermostat and housing are all one piece. The lower radiator hose (return) connects to the thermostat housing. follow the out hose for the rad until it enter the block it shouldn't be hard to find.
