Remove airbox and intake tube and bottom radiator hose. 2 bolts(believe 10mm) on thermo housing. Cadillac STS was created in 2005.
The thermostat for a 2002 Cadillac Seville STS is located in the engine compartment, specifically on the front of the engine near the water pump. To access it, you'll typically need to remove the upper radiator hose and the thermostat housing, which is bolted to the engine. It's important to ensure the engine is cool before attempting to replace the thermostat to avoid burns from hot coolant.
No, ..
If that is the Northstar engine, yes.
CADILLAC STS is totally better
Cadillac STS-V was created in 2005.
The 1996 Cadillac STS with a 4.6L V8 Northstar engine takes 7.5 quarts of 10W30 Oil (I know, A LOT, right?). Synthetic oil is recommended by Cadillac but I disagree, I have run both regular and synthetic oil and had no problems whatsoever. Hope this helps.
