The Saturn L series transaxle is in front of the driver, connected to the engine.
On top of the transaxle. Look just above the woven steel section of the exhaust
i worked for Saturn and there is a defect with the 2000 Saturn GL's transmission but it is not documented. this year of Saturn should still under warente if not sorry but your SOL it will cost to much to repair at the dealership and that car is not worth it.
The starter on a 2000 Saturn SL is located on the bottom, left side of the engine. It is powered directly by the vehicle's battery.
The vehicle speed sensor is a permanent magnet generator mounted on the transaxle case
It is on front lower part of engine where engine block mates to transaxle.
An alternator in a 2000 model year Saturn LS1 is located in the engine compartment. It is on the lower left of the passenger side of the car.
There is no vacuum canister on this vehicle.
It is located inside of the gas tank.
Yes ( I believe the transmission on a front wheel drive car is called the transaxle )
On a 2000 Mercury Sable : The automatic transaxle ( transmission ) fluid level dipstick would be near the firewall just to the drivers side of the engine ( where the transaxle is bolted to the engine )
Inside the fuel tank.
under the battery tray
