I was looking at the 2000 Lincoln LS Owner Guide and it states that it is on
the INSTRUMENT PANEL , next to the fuel filler door release button
( unfortunately the drawing of the button doesn't show exactly where it is )
the seat release is in the trunk.
It is inside the glove box. Open the glove box and on the left-top side there is a black button that opens the trunk. All you have to do is push the button. I am not sure but in white markings it might say trunk release or has a small diagram of a trunk open or opening.
Check for a valet switch in glove compartment, not sure if it should be "on" or "off" , I believe it should be "off". But switch it to see if that works.
it is behind the plastic panel that holds the trunk button and hood release
check out the selinoid on the trunk latch
Oh, dude, the fuel pump reset switch on a 2000 Lincoln Town Car is located in the trunk. It's like a secret button waiting to be pressed in case of emergency. Just remember, it's there for a reason, not just to mess with you when your car won't start.

it should be in the trunk, you will see a hole in the rear trunk panel where the rest button is located.
