It doesn't have a separate voltage regulator. It's built into the computer which is located on the left inside fender. If the air conditioner isn't working either, it might be the engine speed sensor located next to the vibration damper on the front of the engine. If that goes bad, it will think the engine isn't going fast enough, and it won't let the alternator work.
