The Avenger did not exist as a 1994 model.
I have a 1995 Avenger and it use to shut off randomly when driving. I finally found out it was the wire harness and replace it. Since then, 3 years ago, it has not happened since. Hope this helps. Chris

A loose wire would cause the horn to stop working on your Dodge Avenger 2.4L engine.
Take off the front piece which has your radio and air and so on ,, this just pops off from bottom to top. Then unscrew your old radio and disconnect the wires in back and the wire for the radio and then get a wire harness so you can adapt to your new deck and connect that and then connect the harness to the new deck and there ya go.
The red wire is the positive wire. The black wire is the ground wire. The green and yellow wires are the speaker wires. The white wire is the auxiliary wire.
The remote amp turn on a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 is the wire that taps on the harness to supply the 12v.
Anywhere you see more than two wires twisted together, you have a wire harness. There are many on a 1999 Dakota.
With great difficulty!
I have the same year just replaced mine with a wire harness from a d100 in the junk yard
in a reference manual at your local library
Unfortunately you would need the wire harness. So either get a new harness or a new radio.
