its behind the radiator on the drivers side. Its about 4" down in front of the black square box (which is in front of the battery).
The throttle position sensor is on the throttle body.

The throttle position sensor is on the throttle body, opposite of where the cables attach.
It is called a APPS accelerator pedal position sensor. It is located on the front of the engine. It is the part that the throttle cables hook to.
The 2002 Chevy Impala throttle position sensor can be found on the top of the engine. The throttle position sensor will be near the injector fuel pump.
It is on the side of the throttle body. It faces the front of the vehicle and is held on by two small screws. Note: it is not on top of the throttle body-that is the IAC Sensor.

If you having a promblem with your truck cutting out at idol it could possibly be the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
Had the same problem on my '00 4.7 liter. Turns out it was the throttle position sensor. Sensor was replaced at dealer problem disappeared.
It is on the throttle body on the opposite side of where the cables hook on.
Most likely cause is a failed throttle position sensor.
