On a 2000 Cadillac ETC (Eldorado Touring Coupe), the door open sensor is typically located in the door latch mechanism. Each door has its own switch, which is activated when the door is opened or closed. These sensors are usually found within the door frame or in the latch assembly, and they send signals to the vehicle's computer to indicate whether a door is open or closed. If you're troubleshooting, it's advisable to inspect the wiring and connections at these locations.
