Champion Filters (not connected with Champion Spark Plugs)
AC Delco oil filters are among the top professional oil filters, although they have declined in quality in the last several years. They do "work" although they are regularly outperformed by their competitors according to consumer reports.
My advice would be to use an AC/Delco filter in your Chevy. AC/Delco makes one of the best filters you can buy. Other than that, Purolator or Wix make excellent filters.
Ac delco's use to be good but not anymore, I use wix filters in my car and like them a lot better.
Valucraft may be of diffent makes, but the one I have used is a Champion Labs "Ecore" design. This is the same as Supertech, STP, and AC/Delco. They are OK. Better filters out there though.
Wix, Fram, AC Delco, and Motocraft all have filters for this car.
Champion Labs made them... They also make STP, Champ and some AC Delco Oil Filters. They also make Mobil One premium filters
AC Delco PF53
ac delco pf457 filter
In Canada it is made by Petro Canada
Any place that sells oil filters can tell you the correct one. I recommend AC/Delco, Purolator, Bosch, or Wix filters.
The AC Delco oil filter that cross-references with the Fram PH8170 is the AC Delco PF53. When replacing oil filters, it's essential to check compatibility with your specific vehicle model and engine type for optimal performance. Always consult your vehicle’s manual or a professional to ensure proper fitment.
Purolator, Wix, Bosch, AC/Delco, Motorcraft, NAPA, & Carquest, are all excellent filters.
