check your ignition switch.
Remove one battery post connection. Remove wires from starter and be sure you know where they go back. Remove large bolts from starter and put the new one back in.
probably the starter at least that is where I would start at anyway. I had the same problem but after so long the car would crank and I was told the starter but have not had problem again.
because you need hawker system gauges to move it in reverse
It sounds like a wiring issue. There could be a loose wire on the instrument cluster, on behind the fuse block.
I have an '85 S10 with a 305 small block, runs great, just a lot of work to do, but she runs great and sounds AWESOME! Give it a go!
check the gauges, disconnect the sending unit wires and see if the gauges go up, if not it is the gauges, make sure the key is on
it could have to do with the preasure systems. or your gears may be grinding. go to your machanic and check it out :p
Your starter is going bad. I have seen this work once, for a week, and for years. It can completely go out at any moment. It probably is time to replace the starter.
in the dash
Is the S10 a 4x4?If not, measure everything and if it is correct Go for it
this is common, i have had a few.. its normal for all the gauges to max out then return to normal but to go " crazy " ck battery ground. then if persists pull out control head and ck grds. there. still? send head to spedo. repair shop
Could be the bendix in the starter is stuck. all you have to do is tap the starter to get it to release. then try starting it again. If that doesn't work then the starter is probably finished.
