Check for vacuum leak either under hood or under dash
Check vacuum actuators under dash Defrost is the default mode for this system - if vacuum drops air flow will be directed to defrost - as vacuum builds air flow will be directed to chosen position
There is 2 covers on the handle above the main handle with all of your switches. Remove them and the 2 bolts and slide the plastic piece through the door handle slide the panel up as you are pulling on the handle to let it slide through the door panel. Then disconnect the wires for the switches and mirror.
Check your servos.

Is it the push button style climate control panel? If so I am having the same problem. I can not adjust where the air blows from because its not getting the signal from the buttons. Also the lights are not Illuminated and the rear defrost does not work.
