I have a 93 S10 Blazer and sounds like the ignition lock cylinder is stuck/broken. Try shaking the steering wheel left and right briskly while trying to turn back out the key, making sure to push in on the key and lock shaft.
They are located at the end of the spark plug wires.
My blazer is a 4.3Tbi; the fuel filter is in the frame rail on drivers side. about half way point of truck. climb under truck look up into frame U cant miss the round shiny thing. You will need 2 wrenches as not to harm fuel lines,

unplug it and disconnect battery for a minute. plug in after battery reconnected
