This helps cool down your engine faster, prevents your engine components froms soaking heat, helps preserve the paint on your hood, and helps minimize wear on your interior, particularly the plastics, fabrics and electrical wiring. leave the hood open for atleast an hour or two.
go under neath the front end behind the grill and you can grab the wire for the latch just pull it and the hood will pop open drive safe
Pull hood latch and then go to front of car and hit front center of hood with fist. If this does not work you can drive car nto a curb while holding hood latch in open position, this should make hood pop open.
My 97 Ford Taurus hood doest not pop open on its own however if you pull the pop hood thing and the take a key or screwdriver and slide it under the hood and push up you can pull it up with your hand. This has scratched my hood up but atleast I can get it open.
i would probably use a screwdriver to nudge where the latch used to be to pop it open
get a pair of pliers and grab the cable attached to the the hood popper and pull while pulling the hood lever it should pop open
pull hood open lever from inside of the car then slide your hand under hood to the left until you find the side ways lever and push on it to open hood.
Should be a small lever to the right of the accelerator. Pull it it will pop open
There is a 'T' handle in the glove box, pull it and the hood will pop open. Release the safety catch under the hood in the middle and the hood will fold back to the windshield rubber stopper.
If the cable for opening the hood will not open it on a 1997 Saturn SL, put the car on a hoist. Then use a pole to trip the latch for the hood. Lower the vehicle, then open the hood all the way. Repair the cable before closing the hood again.
take a long thin screwdriver and stick it into the "hole" where the cable goes into the latch. Pry from right to left, this will pop the hood. I just had it happen to my 2000 Dakota.
a hood release lever is a lever that releases the hook in the front of the car so it can pop open.
It's actually kinda tricky. Pull the door release inside, and your hood should pop, and a pull tab should pertrude out from under the hood. grab that tab and pull down first and then to the right. This should do the trick. If not, then you will have to do what I did with my girlfriend's car: Drive it to a dealership and ask them the most embaressing question, "How do you open the hood?" Good Luck!
