first i would check the hot wire that runs to your starter , if there is any naked areas of the wire they could be grounding on or touching any metal on the frame or body and that would kill it dead while still driving. next check map sensors . go into detail more about the problem , and start with electronics.
It would die and not restart. Yes it may restart! I have had modules quit when they get hot and work again when they cooled down.
the ground to the battery i had the same problem on my truck
timing belt just replaced one today
Its probably because you burnt the pizza in the oven.
That happened to my 1996 F-150. Ended up being my oxygen sensor. It would crank, but not start.
Who was the first person to die from texting while driving
If it is an automatic transmission it is most often the torque converter that will cause the jerking motion of the car.. another way to tell is the car will start to die when you come to a stop.AnswerI had the same problem in my 93 lumina euro... it's most likely the fuel pump. AnswerMy 92 Chevy lumina did the exact same thing, it turned out to be my crank sensor, and crack sensor wiring.
Why does my car die out when I turn on a/c
A 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo may die while driving and not restart due to several potential issues. Common causes include a failing fuel pump, which can lead to inadequate fuel delivery, or a malfunctioning ignition system, such as a faulty ignition coil or spark plugs. Additionally, problems with the battery or alternator can cause the electrical system to fail, preventing the engine from restarting. Faulty sensors, like the crankshaft or camshaft position sensors, can also lead to engine shutdowns.
178,000 babies die each year from texting and driving.
i have a 2001 Chevy lumina and i am wondering if the ECM is going out, sometimes it will die when i am driving but starts right back up, sometimes it will die and not start up after several hours of sitting, then it starts up. Could this be the ECM?
I have a 1990 Lumina Euro 3.1 that done this and it about drove me crazy. I had replaced all 3 coil packs and thought it fixed it but then it happened again. Come to find out it was the ECM that sits directly under the coil packs. It's fairly easy to replace but the starter wire is in the way of the center coil pack, so you may have to remove it. Hope this helps.
