Mine has been the actuators for the headlights that needs replacing.
perhaps it's time for a new motor or the gear is worn, or fuse is bad. I would raise them manually and disconnect motors until you get it fixed.
You use the Firebird to breath fire through the walls!
Behind the vacuum-operated headlight doors
Those small doors under the headlights on an Audi TT are for the high pressure headlight washers when activated.
The Plastic Gear Inside the Headlight is Worn, atleast half of it. You can buy a metal gear for $40 and replace the plastic gear.
Doors are not locking and the dashboard says boot open whenever the ignition key is turned on
i dont think there is central locking in them
If the central locking system locks all doors but only some do not unlock, it may be due to a malfunctioning actuator in one or more doors. The actuators are responsible for physically moving the locking mechanism, and if they fail, those doors won't respond to the unlocking command. Additionally, there could be issues with wiring or the central locking module itself. Checking the individual door mechanisms and electrical connections can help diagnose the problem.
The alarm on a 2003 Mercedes SLK320 may go off when locking the doors due to a malfunction or a miscommunication between the locking system and the alarm. Common reasons include a door or trunk not being fully closed, a faulty door sensor, or issues with the key fob. Additionally, if the alarm system detects any movement or an open circuit, it may trigger the alarm. Checking the door sensors and ensuring everything is properly closed can help resolve the issue.
open the doors and spray the locking mechanisms withwd40

Locking your doors is just plain provides better protection. Besides being ejected which is a subject I know nothing about, anyone can walk up to you car and open the door if it is left unlocked. Locking your doors makes you slightly less vulnerable to predators and muggers.
