blown head gasket check oil and radiator fluid. i know these cars are for people named george
Air bubbles still trapped in the system
I replaced the front brakes on my 92 camaro, it still pulls hard right when u hit the brakes??
Try replacing the thermostat.
I have a promblem with that too, my car would overheat very fast, it was a faulty NEW thermostat. It still runs hot, I think I need a new water pump
it could possibly have either a blown head gasket or intake manifold gaskets leaking
If the rad. has never been changed I would look there. Also, not knowing the history, did the car overheat before ? Why did you change the thermostat ? Is it possible that it never overheated before, but since the new thermostat it does now. Then possibly the new thermostat is defective. OR, it did overheat before and someone told you to change the thermostat, and it still overheats ? AT idle ? On the road, city or hi-way ? Again have the rad. checked. Sometimes even if the rad. looks good, it could be the main problem. Also, if it overheats on the hi-way only, it is possible the cooling fins on the rad. tend to bend and close and not let air through. If you give me more info on my Msg. board, we can find the problem. Good luck. Hope this all helps to find the problem. Also, be sure to mix your prestone at least 50/50. Or 60 prestone 40 water. This helps for cooling.
first of all, do you have the right thermostat? ie: winter, summer. if so i would get the radiator checked, it may be getting pluged.
replace upper radiator hose and install a new thermostat. see what happens. or turn it on without the thermostat for a while and see if it still overheats.
the first thing i would look at is the thermostat if its not opening and closing at the right time this will cause your enginr to overheat.
Yes the temperature gauge will still work. If it stuck open the car will run cool. If it is stuck closed the car will overheat.
if the pump and thermostat have been replaced on a 2001 malibu and it overheats and the heat doesnt work now but the air does. do it need bleeding still , will air in the line still cause that problem...
check the fuses and relays
