Fuel Level Sending Unit is bad. Located in the fuel tank with the pump. If the car has over 75,000 miles replace the pump at the same time to avoid removing the tank again at a later date to replace a bad pump, and save that labor charge. 100,000 miles is considered the life of a pump. Some last longer and some last a shorter period of time. A partially clogged fuel filter will cut miles off the life of a pump, so replace the fuel filter also. It is also possible the gage is bad or there are loose wires at the sending unit. so check that out before removing the fuel tank.
they are made in mexico
Any 4L60E transmission. 1993 and up.
The Chevy Tahoe has 1 drivers seat and 7 passenger seats. The Tahoe is a very expensive car.
Yes they do it is 6.5.5 (six on five and a half)
Mostly the chevy tahoes and suburbans they towe really well and they are rated to run 300000
No the 2001 Chevy Tahoe is not equipped with the LATCH system for car seats. The LATCH system did not become standard in Chevy Tahoes until the 2002 models.
I was told from a friend who works for GM and is a 2door 2wheeldrive owner as I am they made 414 in 1999.
One can purchase a Chevy Tahoe in many different places. New and used Tahoes can be purchased at Chevrolet dealerships, used car dealerships and also online through Kijiji and classified ads in ones local newspaper.
One could use the dealer locator on the official Chevrolet site to find the nearest dealer and inquire as to whether they have a Chevy Tahoe on the lot. One could also look for used Chevy Tahoes online at sites such as Yahoo! Autos and Craigslist.
it's time for a tune up, I've owned two 1997 Chevy tahoes and both times spark plug and wires and distribitor cap replacement fixed the starting problem both times.
Buy a Haynes manual that covers trucks and Tahoes/Suburbans. It has wiring diagrams for all the trucks noted on the front cover. Good reference source.
That depends. I am an ASE certified automotive tech and from my experience Chevy's are descent but not great...they suffer from a lot of problems such as very bad interior quality and problematic four wheel drive systems. I would look into a Dodge Durango or Ford Expedition. They are both reliable vehicles.
