I just had to replace the entire exhaust on my 1997 Maxima, south of the engine - pipes and cat converter, and it set me back around 1500.

On the 2002 Nissan Maxima when the blower resistor is bad does it make a vibrating noise?

A bad blower resistor will not make a vibrating noise by itself. Carefully remove the blower resistor (under the dash at the passenger side right foot area.) check to see that it is not hitting the fan. PS a bad blower resistor usually means that the blower will only operate at high speed. Usually a small fusible link on the resistor ceramic opens. Can be replaced with a small link of unmelted solder.
