Probably not smoke. Your heater core may have a small leak and the "smoke you see is actually steam.
Had a similar problem with an F-250 P/U. Cost about $100.00 parts and labor. But that was back in the day...
Means that your heater core is leaking coolant. Has to be replaced.
Most likely this is a blocked drain hose from the HVAC system. When it can't drip out condensation fast enough, the water contacts the AC evaporator and causes a foggy mist.
The heater coil probably has a leak causing steam and vaporized antifreeze to be released into the vents. Is it using coolant?
If it is smoke the heater fan motor has failedORElectronics in the heater have failed ORif it smells like anti freeze rather than smoke the heater core has failed.
If that smoke is more like steam, you have a leaky heater core.
i believe the heater core is leaking, a small pin hole leak can generate a lot of smell.
replace the heater core
I assume you mean smoke and water are coming from the A/C vents. I suspect you are seeing steam and coolant. You probably have a heater core leaking.I assume you mean smoke and water are coming from the A/C vents. I suspect you are seeing steam and coolant. You probably have a heater core leaking.
