You're probably low on brake fluid.
You could be low on brake fluid.
you either don't have the brake fully dis-engaged or you need to have your brakes checked for wear.
either the park brake is engaged whilst the ignition switch is on or the brake fluid in the reservoir is near empty.
Check the brake fluid reservoir, it is probably low. Time for a brake inspection.
check brake fluid level a low level will turn on light low level also mean its time for brake pads to be checked or you have a fluid leak. try to pull up on e brake pedal if light goes off have you e-brake cables checked then adjusted. also a pressure loss to a wheel or a bad master cylinder. or a bad float sensor on master cylinder or a grounded e bake wire or switch.
you are either low on brake fluid, the Ebrake switch is on or you have air in your brake lines. try lifting the ebrake and see if the light gets brighter. If it does, try unpluging the wire that goes to the brake master cylinder. If this don't work then i recomend taking it to a shop to have it looked at! Good Luck... Michael on my 97 es300 the brake light was staying on because ebrake inside of back rotor was worn all the way down and system was sensing this.
brake light on when driving oldsmobile alero
usually this is done at the ebrake itself. there are two wires going to it.
it don't work?
Yes it can but that is rare. The more likely problem is one of the following:emergency brake is engaged slightlyBrake switch is faultybrake fluid is lowbrakes need servicing
If the " BRAKE " warning light comes on in your dash either the BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IS LOW in the brake fluid reservoir located in the engine compartment of your 1995 Ford Mustang or the parking / emergency brake is engaged
The E-brake switch on a Lexus ES300 is typically located near the center console, often integrated with the parking brake lever. In some models, it may also be found under the dashboard near the brake pedal assembly. For precise location, it's best to consult the vehicle's owner's manual or a service manual specific to your model year.
