Pop out the window control button first. Then there are two plugs behind the interior door handle that need to be removed. Then using a Torx (T-25) screw driver remove two screws behind where the pugs were. You need to go upward at a slight angle to contact the screws. Once they have been removed (they may fall down inside the door but will be able to be recovered when the door panel is removed) begin at the bottom of the door and spring out the door panel going in both directions around towards the top. Then the entire panel can be lifted up and removed. Take care to allow the door operating handle to slide out from its position in the panel.
first you remove the interior door panel, nest i would get a flash light to see the bolts inside the door shell for the handle. there will be only one bolt inside the door shell. you can access the bolt through a hole in the inner door panel. use either a 10mm socket and extension to reach the bolt. use a magnetic socket, or apply a small amount of buytl tape to keep the bolt in place in the socket so it does not fall into the door. next take the bolt out in the door jamb, next remove the access vent or panel just below the door latch. next remove the door latch bolts, letting the latch hang free. lift the handle free of the door, and look on bottom or top of the lock cylinder area, there should be a tab, push the tab in until the lock cylinder slides out, next lift the handle and rod out of the latch, you may need to put a little pressure on the rod to get it out, but it will come, try twisting it while you pull to help removal, swap the rod on to the new handle, reverse the process and you are done.
I can only partly answer this question, but it might bump the thread anyway.I am facing the same problem with my front door. Here goes... this for front door.... Remove inside door panel, they call it the door card for some reason, remove a cover near wing mirror, prise it off. two torx 20 screws at the bottom, one torx 30 under neath a cap where the handle is. Prise the door off gently, it is stuck with a seal and poppers. Above the door lock there is a small plug, prise it out, use torx 20 to unscrew it fully, (it wont fall out, don't worry). The small arch shaped piece of the door handle can now be prised out. The door handle can now be slid towards the open gap.... And that's where I got stuck.... Can someone else please continue?

First you have to remove the inside door panel trim. Start by removing the handle that is used to set the side view mirror position. Just remove the screw that holds the little handle and pull the handle off. Now remove the interior door handle by removing the screw that's located at the center of the handle. After removing the screw, push the handle towards the front of the car. You should feel it move forward a fraction of an inch. Then pull out the end of the handle that is closest to the front of the car. Then use a flat-head screw driver to remove the plastic clip that secures the wire in position. Next you have to remove the armrest: Just pull it up with you hands. Once the armrest is removed, two screws will be revealed. Unscrew both screws, and gently pull the door panel trim from the sides and bottom. Once the clips on the bottom and sides of the door panel are no longer engaged, gently pull it up. You might have to slide it towards the rear end of the car as you pull it up. It should come off rather easily. If the yellow clips come off, just secure them back into their respective positions prior to re-assembling the door panel. Now finally you get your hands on the outside door handle: First, you have to remove to unhook the plastic clip that holds the wire in place. Proceed by removing the two bolts that hold the outside door handle in place. You are going to have to stick your hand in there and feel around until you find those two bolts. They are located on opposite sides of the door handle assembly. Once you locate those two bolts, use a small Ratchet Wrench to remove them. Then simply push the door handle towards the outside, and it should fell right out. You might want to have one hand on the door handle as you are pushing it out, as it might fall out and scratch your paint. Once you have remove the door handle, just install a new one and perform the above instructions in reverse. Note: Play close attention at the way that the key-hole mechanism is located with respect to the door handle. If you for some reason forget this step, remember that when putting the bolt back in its place, it should first go through the door frame hole, then through the key-hole assembly hole and finally into the hole on the door handle assembly.

To take off the panel, first go around the outside of the panel and remove 6 screws. Two at the outside, two at the hinge and two on the bottom. Next, there is a small pop cover under the door opening lever, take this out and remove the screw. this will allow you to take off the cover around the door lever. On the main door handle there are two holes underneath, take a square head screwdriver and push into the holes and click the catches. This will pop off the cover on the handle. Under this cover there are two big square head screws that attached the handle to the door frame. Once removed the door cover will just fall out.

To install the handle, I have removed the interior door panel - almost. I can't figure out how to remove the interior door handle, which is preventing removal of the panel. Does this require a special tool? Any other tips for the project would be appreciated. Thanks.AnswerThe handle is held on with a spring clip, the easiest way to remove it is to insert a thin towel or rag behind the door handle and move it around until it catches the open end of the clip and then pull it out, to reinstall it put the clip on the door handle and just push it on to the splined shaft.ifthis unswer above it's wrong....if you remove the panel already look inside where the handle its located you will have to remove hte clips that's attach to the wires then take a number 10 rachet and remove the bolts that's hold the handle to the door install the newone and reverse the prosigues ...- - - - - - - - - - --Well, that is how you remove the inside handle but not the outside handle. After removing the inside handle, remove the small screw in the upper part of the sliding lock, then remove the inside panel which is held on with snap connectors. There are two bolts that are accessed via holes in the inside door wall. Loosen these bolts with a socket then remove them with a magnetic Phillips screwdriver so they do not fall into the bottom of the door. The handle is also connected to a cable which must be disconnected to remove the handle.Replacement handles are sold at previaparts.com, eBay, and Amazon. The handle at previaparts.com costs a little more but it also includes the cable.
