You rear heat will only work if your front heat is on heat and feet. If it is on vent at the front of the van it will not heat the rear of the van. Not sure why but that is how ford designed it.

If it was built after the 6 month of 99 then it will work. but if it was built in the early month of 99 then NO. look at the sticker on the door jam and you will see that info.
Find an easy place to work and cut the lines into and hook them together with a rubber heater hose a clamps.
chevy suburban is mounted on a truck frame so most rear ends from any truck or tahoe which is also a truck will work if it is a late model 6 lug.
There are separate expansion valves in the rear, so even if the front system is failing, the rear unit could still work normally.
