First and foremost check your fuses. if its blown then that might be your problem if you replace it with a new fuse and it blows. Than you got a short. If your fuses are fine than after you pull of the steering column cover inspect the connector for damage. Exc. Bent pins, disconnected, or debris causing bad contact. If all is good than hate to say but possible internal short in multifunction switch. In that case you will need a new switch. Hope this helps. Ben You might also have a failed turn signal lamp or two. If just one is out the lamps usually flash very fast, but more than one can make it not flash. Set the indicator and look for burned out lamps, (even the little markers) If they are all lit, find the flasher relay can and replace it. Stu
The signal light switch is part of the multifunction switch on the steering column.
You have to test the multifunction switch and make sure the wire harness is good. It most likely the multifunction switch.
To determine if the issue lies with the hazard switch or the multifunction switch, you can perform a few tests. First, check if the hazard lights work when activated; if they don’t, the problem likely lies with the hazard switch. If the hazards work but the left turn signal doesn't, the multifunction switch is more likely the culprit. Additionally, using a multimeter to test for continuity within each switch can help identify which one is malfunctioning.
Check the bulbs and then the multifunction switch (headlight switch)
The dome light in a vehicle is typically controlled by a switch mechanism in the door itself. When the door is opened, a door ajar switch or a plunger switch is activated, signaling the dome light to turn on. Conversely, when the door is closed, the switch is disengaged, turning the light off. This feature is designed to enhance convenience and safety by providing illumination when entering or exiting the vehicle.
Called a multifunction switch, wrecking yard will probably be the cheapest.
When the switch is closed, it completes the electrical circuit, allowing current to flow instantly to the light fixture. This immediate flow of electricity energizes the light bulb, causing it to illuminate right away. The speed of electrical current is nearly instantaneous, resulting in the light turning on almost immediately after the switch is activated.
First check the brake light fuse, then the brake light bulbs and lastly check the brake light switch. If all that checks good you may have a faulty signal switch (AKA the multifunction switch).
The light may not be turning off with the switch due to a faulty switch, a problem with the wiring, or a malfunction in the light fixture itself. It is recommended to check the switch, wiring, and fixture to determine the cause of the issue and address it accordingly.
THE BRAKE LIGHT IS LOCATED BELOW THE DASH. LOCATE THE ARM HOLDING THE BRAKE PEDAL AND YOU WILL SEE A SWITCH THAT COMES OUT WHEN THE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED TURNING THE LIGHT ON. WHEN THE BRAKE IS RELEASED THE SWITCH DEPRESSES AGAIN TURNING THE LIGHT OFF.
To operate a light switch, simply flip the switch up to turn the light on, and flip it down to turn the light off.
