it may be out of time have your timing checked
New points, condenser, rotor, cap, plugs and wires, reset timing, fuel filter and new air filter and re-adjust the carb, it just needs a general tune-up.

Try checking your spark plugs & wires. Can also be caused by dirty fuel filter.
When the idle goes rough, you must idle the plugs. Else the car plugs roughly.
Maybe your air filter or plugs and wires. Or maybe your MAF sensor or your IAC valve needs cleaning.

First thing you need is oil change and tranny fluid change. Then like any other you get the plugs, but get quality plugs to smooth out the rough idle that most 93 z28 have. wires cap rotor air filter. I use sea foam about every 10,000 mi. it's a great product and will clean out your entire engine and fuel system if used right.
