Flush the radiator, replace the thermastat, check for any blockage in the hoses, replace the oil to something lighter___"DO NOT USE COOKING OIL". If your using 20/50 then change to 10/40. I would also suggest a motor oil flush. Putting a quart of ATF in the oil and running it for a day or 2 always works for me when trying to clean out the crud in a motor.
