If that is the case then you need to replace the electric fuel pump that's inside of the fuel tank. Fuel pressure for that year is 9 to 13 lbs. It can not be any lower then 9 lbs. and no higher then 13 lbs. are you will have starting and running problems.
Make sure the vent in the fuel tank cap is not plugged.
No. A single point fuel injection system looks very much like a carburetor though.
Though it sits on top of the engine a carburetor is actually a part of the the fuel delivery system. The carburetor is no longer a part of the modern automobile, being replace by the electronic fuel injection system in the late 1980's - early 1990's.
No, Chevy changed the wiring harness in 2003. and the way it is mounted, it can be made to work though.
There is no carburetor on these new fangled cars. Darn things have the newer port fuel injection. Not even throttle body injection, which kind of LOOKS like a carburetor. It does have a throttle body though, at the junction of the air intake hose and the intake manifold.
Yes, though you may need to retune it for the smaller motor.
I Think its about 4500lbs, Id check to make sure though
If you mean the Chevrolet Silverado, and you're in the US, then no. The Silverado is an American-designed vehicle, though some or all of the manufacturing may be done in the US, Canada, or Mexico. For tons of car videos, how-to tutorials and tips on saving money, see my site TheFreeMechanic.com
Sounds like a dud fuel pump to me. Check all the wires first . Funny though , 87 rx7 had no carburetor...it has electronic fuel injection.
It should, but the upper bumper pad on the 2500 may be thicker, they both bolt on the same way though, measure the height.
The starting cost for a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD is 28,415 dollars. This is just a base cost though, if you want power windows and seats it will cost more.
It depends what type of adjustment you are trying to make but you should refer to the manual if you have one. If not then ask someone at a shop to help you. For most tuning though there are little screws you can twist both on the carburetor itself and on the tubes leading into and out of it.
