It is about $20 to $35 and located on the transmission. It controls the shifts and the speedo. If not moving or slipping real bad, check the fluid level and look at the color and smell it for a burnt odor.

If it is popping out of gear only under acceleration and not other times this could mean there is a transaxle problem. May be time for a rebuild.
