One or more cylinders is probably not firing. It's like ceiling fan turning 2000 RPM with one blade missing. Check for spark on all your plugs.

One possibility is you might have one bad tire or a u-joint.
There are a whole lot of problems that can cause an engine to shake. Did you look at the motor mounts? How are the bearings? Why don't you have someone who knows what he is doing look it over?
